Practical help at your vehicle

Tyre inspection, replacement and paperwork

A tyre insurance claim may need more than a receipt. Your provider may ask a tyre fitter to complete a Tyre Validation form or repairer declaration explaining the damage and the work carried out.

Best Mobile Tyres can help with these technical details when inspecting your tyre. We assess whether repair is suitable and discuss replacement options where needed. Mobile attendance is available at homes, workplaces and suitable safe roadside locations, subject to availability.

Our local service covers Dudley, Brierley Hill, Stourbridge, Halesowen and Cradley Heath. For surrounding areas, send your postcode to check attendance.

What we can document

  • Vehicle registration, mileage and affected wheel
  • Visible damage and relevant inspection findings
  • Whether the tyre is repairable, with an explanation
  • Tread depth measurements across the tyre
  • Tyre make, model, size, DOT and identifiers requested
  • Photographs and an invoice for work carried out
  • Repair or replacement date and fitter details

The exact information depends on your form. We distinguish your account of the incident from findings we can verify.

How it works

Send the form before we visit

01

Check & send

Check your insurer’s instructions, then WhatsApp your form, postcode, tyre size and photos. Include any approval or tyre-retention requirements.

02

Inspect & agree

We confirm the price and appointment. At the vehicle, we inspect the tyre and explain the appropriate repair or replacement options.

03

Complete & submit

We complete the relevant fitter section and provide the agreed documentation. You submit your claim and supporting documents to your provider.

Damage after a pothole

Need evidence for a road damage claim?

If a pothole damaged your tyre, our inspection findings, photographs and invoice can help document the tyre damage and work carried out. They do not establish that a road authority is responsible or guarantee compensation.

Keep a record of the incident date, time and exact location. Follow the official process for the organisation responsible for that road. Reporting a pothole and requesting compensation are separate steps. Only take photographs where safe; never enter a motorway to photograph a defect.

Before you book

Tyre claim paperwork: your questions

Bring your provider’s own instructions. Requirements and cover vary between policies.

Can you complete my tyre insurance claim form?

We can complete the tyre fitter or repairer section using findings from our inspection and details of the work we carry out. Send the form before booking so we can check its requirements. You complete your policyholder details and submit the claim to your provider.

Do you guarantee that my claim will be paid?

No. Our role is to inspect the tyre and supply factual technical information. Your insurer decides whether the damage and costs are covered under your policy. We do not approve claims, provide legal representation or negotiate settlements.

Should I contact my insurer before replacing the tyre?

Check your policy and contact your claims provider before authorising work. Ask about prior approval, permitted repairers, photographs, spending limits and keeping the damaged tyre. Tell us any requirements before the visit. Do not drive on a tyre you believe is unsafe while arranging the claim.

Will the damaged tyre need to be kept?

Some providers require the tyre to be retained and labelled for further inspection. For example, a Tyre Validation form we have completed specifies 28 days. Your own form or policy may differ. Tell us before disposal so we can confirm the required storage arrangements with you.

How much does the inspection and paperwork cost?

Send your postcode, tyre size and form. We confirm the price for the inspection, documentation and any repair or replacement before you book. Any documentation charge is confirmed in your quote. Reimbursement depends on your policy.

Can you certify damage from a photograph alone?

Photos help us understand your request, but they do not replace an inspection. We only sign findings we can verify. Tell us if the tyre has already been replaced or disposed of, as this may limit the information we can provide.
